EIA sees global oil demand at 100 mln bpd in 2nd half of 2021
MOSCOW, Jun 10 (PRIME) -- Demand on the global oil market will again exceed 100 million barrels per day only in the second half of 2021, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said late Tuesday.
Demand is seen at 100.72 million barrels per day in July–September 2021 and 100.95 million barrels per day in October–December 2021, while the average level of demand in entire 2021 will be 99.71 million barrels per day, the EIA said.
In 2020, demand is seen at 92.53 million barrels per day mostly due to the coronavirus pandemic and relevant restrictions.
Demand stood at 100.04 million barrels per day in 2018 and 100.87 million barrels per day in 2019.
